a friend of mine & FH's father passed away & we wanted to send something to her house.. we weren't going to send flowers because the wake is only one day.. and we were going to send an Edible Arrangement but everyone we speak to is doing that so we don't want her to have 80 of them...
so does anyone have any other ideas on what to send?? and a web site i can use.. she lives in NJ so i can't use anywhere local that i know of to deliver
Order from a local deli by her and have heroes and cold cuts sent to the house. That way they won't have to cook for a few days. This was the best thing that someone did when my grandfather passed.

Re: Sympathy Arrangements
I agree with sending food. Send sandwiches, or you can go to a good pizzeria/restaurant and send some pasta, chicken parm, etc.

I answered on the BHB Board - but I'm a big fan of the peace lily - its a house plant.

This is exactly what I was going to suggest. Although Edible Arrangements are great, they are really expensive IMO for just some pretty looking fruit. Find a great restaurant near their house and have a tray or two of food sent over or the heroes would be great also.

Re: Sympathy Arrangements
food would be my number one choice too.. but i am not familiar with the area she lives in and i don't want to call a random deli/restaurant that i'm not sure if their food is any good.. know what i mean??
let me try and get in touch with her boyfriend and see if he recommends anywhere .. if i cant get a hold of him i'm back at square onee
