I had my first fitting and showed the owner of the store my BM dresses. i am wearing gloves and having an Sunday evening wedding. I am very tall (5'8') and am wearing 2 1/2 inch heels. and my Bm are all short- under 5'3'. She didn't think the T length would look good. What do you think? here are pics of my gown adn the BM dresses. i can get the t-length dress in floor length.

your dress is georgous and i think it will be beautiful on you since you are so tall... i love tea length but i don't like it for a saturday night formal wedding.. JMO it depends how fancy yours is and if it is at night
i don't think it looks bad i can see where the lady is coming from because you are 5ft 8 in.

you should pick whatever you like, I LOVE YOUR DRESS!! It is more formal though and tea length may not match the style of your dress, but it's up to you. full length might make your shorter bridesmaids look taller.

Personally, i think tea length dresses are very chic now and suit pretty much any kind of wedding with the exception of the most, most formal black tie weddings.

Tea length might make them look shorter! I don't know, have them try it on. This was a big conern for my as my sister's MH b/c my sister and all of her BM's were in the 5'7-5'9 range and I'm 5'3! I guess you don't know until you have them try it on.

i happen to be a huge fan of tea-length BM dresses. i never liked the look of full length BM dresses. my advice is to have them try it on and see how each one looks in it.
BTW - us vertically challenged girls prefer to be called petite not 'short'

i'm also a huge fan of T-length. i'm 5'3' and occasionally wear that length in skirts and dresses and i think it looks fine! :)

We actually just tried on tea length dresses for a friend of mine's wedding last weekend and it looked great! With heels, I don't think there's anything wrong with tea length for us petite ladies (I'm almost 5'1', the bride is 5'2 (she tried on too to see) and the other friend with us is 5'3). Go for it!

I think that you should pick the length that YOU prefer. it doesn't matter what anyone else thinks, only what you like.

i disagree. i would rather have my BM's comfortable and content w/ the dress that they are wearing. in re: to the color, i think the birde should have the final say so , but in re: style -> their choice.

No not yet... I am going back this weekend to try on my dress one more time and then buying it. Then the following weekend I will gather up my BMs and go find that dress. Halter tops usually arent too bad with cleavage IMO but I dont have anything HUGE to mention.

On someone as tall as you, Tea length looks beautiful - On someone short like me (5'2') it looks awful - JMO - I would be very uncomfortable in a Tea lenght dress. - i feel like it makes you look shorter. I personally only like Tea length gowns for a more informal wedding. -
