Table numbers question

Who gets table 1???? Brides fam or grooms????

my experience has been brides... part of that is probably just tradition because often times the brides family is hosting the wedding.... but do what you want!

My FSIL had her parents, his parents and both sets of grandparents at Table1.

Table Number one was for my parents table...Two was for DH's parents

Our RH told us which table gets which number, based on how the servers know their tables, so we're going by that and just placing specific people at each numbered table.

I was told by the hall that Mother of the Bride ALWAYS gets table 1. Mother of the Groom always gets table 2.

We had our BP tables as 1 and 2. Then the parents at 3 and 4.

same here... we were given a map of the tables with the numbers already on them... odds were on one side, evens on the other...

My table one is my family. Usually the brides family is to the left of the dias

based on it's location in our hall, it ended up being a grandparents table and some certain people had issues with it...so i eliminated the number completely. we had no table 1.

at WM, brides have the odd #s and grooms have the even #s. in the long run, it really makes no difference.
