Tacky or Tasteful?

I have been going back and forth with the idea of having a chocolate fountain...I am trying to work around an elegant themed wedding and fear that this will appear tacky...however, my intial feeling was that this was something fun for the guests enjoy in addition to the cake. BE HONEST...tacky or tasteful?

Def not tacky...at all! I am having one at my wedding....I've never heard of them being referred to as tacky. I know I always love them.

not tacky at all...its a dessert haha. those who don't like wedding cake will flock over to your fountain. i am not doing one because I feel like it will be too much food and I am heavy into conserving. it's all about personal taste but its def not tacky

Just a side note..one of the many things to dip at my wedding was churros! I almost died!!!!!!!!!! Love thoseeee! People loved it!

I've been to parties with these and I don't think it's tacky; go for it!
Chocolate is one of the gifts God gave us lol

Totally tasteful - we're having one. I've never even thought that as tacky.

Thank you for all the responses! It looks like most of you said tasteful. I would like to know why those that said tacky felt that way also. This will sound silly but I was watching Brothers & Sisters last night and the girl on there made mention to a chocolate fountain and it was kind of looked at as being very typical and tacky. I am glad to hear such an overwhelming amount of tasteful responses.

I once went to a very elegant hotel wedding on the West Coast. Everyone talked non-stop about the chocolate fountain! Definitely not tacky.
