Tacky to plan my own b'ette party?

Tacky to plan my own b'ette party?

My maid of honor is out of state and won't be in town again till the week of my wedding. As for my other BMs, the most logical one to plan it is having some health issues at the moment and I don't want to burden her with something else to do besides care for her family, etc. My FSIL is out of state. That leaves my other two SILs and I don't want either to feel obligated to step up and put something together, so I was just going to do it. I don't mind, especially since $$ is tight for my one SIL and I wanted to ensure that it would be affordable for her. But is it inappropriate? Honestly, I don't expect everyone to pay my way and all but I do want to do something with my BMs and girlfriends.

I dont think that it is tacky! If there is no one else to plan one for you, I think that it is just fine to do it yourself!

shhhhh - I actually plan on doing the same thing. My MOH is my sister, who is back in school, and my FSIL is still in school - and another BM moved to ohio and suddenly got really cheap (like I bought her a drink in a club - after her FH said he didn't want one - and he ended up spliting with him because they didn't want to buy another one - so I couldn't take it and bought him one.)
Needless to say I don't trust her at all to plan something better than a McDonalds party for me - and its my one time to do this, so I say go for it if you don't mind!!!!

Not tacky at all! My MOH and I discussed what I wanted to do for my party. I'm helping organize it because it's easier. My MOH is my cousin and she lives in NJ - she's doesn't know all my friends and where to go on Long Island!
