Newsday just released the Toxicology reports for that woman driving on the Taconic Parkway (not officially confirmed though.) She was DRUNK and HIGH. I am so upset and I am sick to my stomach. I just can't believe it. Everyone I work with is in shock. We all thought she had a medical condition. Those poor children.... Seven innocent people died for no reason. What a disgusting sad excuse for a human being! If you are going to go for a drunken and high joy ride don't take 5 innocent children with you.
WOWWW! I don't even know what to say!! I truly thought something happened to her while driving, such as a sudden illness or medical condition...
This is a disgrace....If you want to risk your own life by getting behind the wheel of a car drunk and high, do it alone and in an empty parking lot. How devastating to these children and the parents of the niece's she killed also....I am in complete shock and don't even know what to say.....

How disgusting, awful and selfish! I have no remorse for her. I have remorse for the children and men who innocently lost their lives due to her stupidity and selfishness. That woman is disgusting.
Some people were also saying she was suicidal also, however, I have no idea if that is true or not. If she took the time to call to say she didn't feel well she should have stayed put. Now so many lives are lost because of her. She is so disgusting.

You know what I almost forgot, she has a son who survived the accident....how is his poor father going to explain to him where his mom and sisters are?
I feel horrible for the innocent children and the other 3 innocent man who she crashed into.....

Is it possible that someone drugged her??? I have worked on the same floor as her for 8 years and this is SHOCKING. She was so sweet.... it is just so hard to believe she could possobley do thing.

I dont think that anyone wants to believe that this is the truth because if it is the truth, it is totally disgusting.
I am familiar with where she entered the Taconic since I live in Westchester, and there is absolutely no way this was a mistake. You clearly can tell you are driving the wrong direction.
I thought at first when I read it in the Post that it was maybe false reporting, however, after it was also reported in about three other sources, I have to believe it is the truth.
Very, very, very sad.

I am utterly disgusted by this. I feel so horrible for the parents that lost their innocent children. I cant even imagine what they are feeling right now.

omg that is absolutely horrible and sad - and the fact that she not only endangered her life - but the lives of those poor innocent children. My heart goes out to the families involved.

So so awful. With all these drunk driving stories, you think people would learn. There is no excuse!! How is that poor father supposed to live knowing that his sister killed his daughters and niece. There are almost no words.

'A medical examiner found Diane Schuler's blood-alcohol level was 0.19, more than twice the state's legal limit of 0.08, Westchester County District Attorney Janet DiFiore said in a statement Tuesday.
State Police Maj. William Carey said a broken bottle of Absolut vodka was found near the wreck.
The autopsy also revealed that Schuler was impaired by marijuana, which she smoked no more than an hour before the wreck, investigators said.'

This really disgusted me as well. I am always disgusted when people drive buzzed/drunk. It it selfish, because they could kill anyone. I am so against drunk driving, and I hate when people do it. This should be a lesson to everyone in the world that thinks that disgusting habit is ok.
