Tahiti/Bora Bora Honeymooners

Hi girls, I was just wondering, for those that honeymooned in Tahiti, specifically Bora Bora, how much did you spend, how long did you go for and where did you stay (inclusive or exlusive).

I was totally shocked my teh quote that one of my bridesmaids told me she spent $14K for 11 days, i think it was inclusive though. WOW! - just curious though - if anyone doesnt want to post, please FM me - THANKS!

a co worker went for 12 days and her honeymoon, not including pending was 5000. They didnt have alot of money so I know it wasnt anywhere near 14K

That price may not be too off if they stayed in deep overwater bungalows for the entire stay during peek season and flew business class to Tahiti.

My sister and her busband went to Bora/Bora and Tahiti. They paid close to that but they stayed in the underwater bungalows. They went all out and really enjoyed it!

FH and I got a quote of about $15,000 (air and room) for 10 days in Bora Bora in an OW bungalow at the new Sheraton NUI Resort. and that price is only including breakfast, nothing else.
Check out TravelWizard.com I got the best price there.

I went to Tahiti/Bora Bora/Moorea about three years ago and spent 10K plus airfare. We stayed in over the water bunaglows on Bora/Moorea and a regula room in Tahiti. The price included breakfast and dinner as well as a few side trips on each island. We booked through www.tahiti-explorer.com and would recommend them. The islands are beautiful.

You could also consider the Cook Islands which are not as expensive as French Polynesia but are supposed to be just as beautiful. They are located off the coast of New Zealand.

we paid about $8K for 11 days - that was just the flights and hotel rooms, no extra stuff. We went to Tahiti, Moorea and Bora Bora and stayed in overwater bungalows at the Interncontinetal Beachcomber at each island. It's so worth it .. but shop around for the package that suits you best
