Take Your ERing or Leave it on Honeymoon?

Should I take my engagement ring or leave it in a safe here? I'm going to Tahiti...I'll be swimming alot...not sure what to do!

I am not only leaving my e-ring but my wedding rings are diamonds so we bought plain gold bands to wear instead.

Can't you check the places you are staying to see if they have a safe? I thought that was what most ppl do?

I am definately leaving it!
I leave my enagement ring everytime I go anywhere, even on business trips.

I ALWAYS wear mine - NEVER EVER Take it off...if it's on me...then I know it is safe and sound....(I wore it the whole time in hawaii)


BUT maybe if I was going to Tahiti I would leave it home with my parents or locked up, you never know.

I left my e-ring at home but wore my wedding band the whole time. I'm still nervous about swimming with my e-ring.

I left mine at home. Depending on where we are going I will either leave it or wear it. If we go someplace like Paris I will wear it. Last week we were in Prague and Budapest and I left it home. I don't think I would ever wear my ring to the beach, I would be afraid of the sand getting into the setting or losing it while I was swimming.

Hmmm...I would say take it, but everyone else is getting me a bit nervous. Personally I feel naked w/out my e-ring...I might have separation anxiety if I left it at home for over a week!

They have safes in the Vegas hotel where we're staying. I would never leave home without my rings!

I think i will leave it and just wear my wedding band. I left it it when we went to south beach- just too worried about swimming with it on.

I don't sleep with any jewelery but that is the only time I'll leave it, other wise I don't leave my bedroom without it.

Rings will come with me where ever I go including honeymoon.

If we go into remote areas off resort I may choose to leave it in safe at hotel but otherwise it's not coming off.

One of my friend's moms told me that the only time she ever heard of women losing their engagement rings is when they took it off and put it someplace. Actually, that's how she lost hers. I might not wear it if I was going to the beach but I would never leave it in a hotel safe either. Best in either a safety deposit box or a house safe that is set into the basement floor in someone's house.

I sleep with mine on and if I have to take it off to clean it goes in the same exact spot. I'm even paranoid about taking it off anywhere near a drain or a toiler... ugh... Can you imagine?

We left our rings at home. but we noticed that most brides and grooms were wearing their rings in st lucia...Wierd...I wouldnt of expected us to be the only ones without them

I refused to leave mine home - I never ever take it off. I couldn't imagine being on the honeymoon, of all things, without it.

Well let me tell you I was a nervous wreck the entire time in Aruba - every time we went in the pool or ocean or on a boat, I couldn't truly enjoy myself because I kept checking to make sure my ring and DH's ring was on. I made him swim with his hand in a fist position!

Next vacation, it will be left in my parents safe!

Same here!!!

I did forget my e-ring the first time we went back to WDW after we got engaged and I was devastated!!! I realized on the way to the airport and I actually would have been okay missing the flight to go back & get it!!!

We took our rings because we knew we would be doing more sightseeing than swimming in Italy. I felt safe!
