is anybody taking a full week before the wedding? i was going to but i am not sure if its really necessary. i am hoping to have all my final appointments done sooner than later. so besides dropping things off at RH & a final fitting not sure if a full week is necessary.
my sister already said i should take the week to help my mom clean her home.. um hellooo she can help too. .. she is the one who works part time

Re: Taking time off work for your wedding
My wedding is on a Sunday so I am leaving work early the Thurs before which is the day of my rehearsal dinner and then taking off that Friday and will have off 3 weeks after the wedding.

i work for myself so I will def be taking a week off. work is too stressful... I just don't think I would be able to deal with a week before the wedding.

Re: Taking time off work for your wedding
I'm taking Thursday and Friday for my Saturday wedding...I don't have to take any time off for HM because it's during April Break and we're only going on a mini-moon. Our real HM will be in August!

Re: Taking time off work for your wedding
We're getting married on a Friday and my last day of work is the Friday before. I have a lot of OOT family coming in in the begging of the week and plus the last minute things to do so I wanted to make sure I'd have enough time for everything.

I am but I'm also leaving my job right before the wedding since I'll be moving....my last day of work will be May 30! CAN'T WAIT TO GET OUT!!!!
(hopefully I find a new job to start in NJ after the wedding!!)
exact same situation for me also. But I may be ending my time at work a month before so that I can do my interviews in Philly in addition to finding somewhere to live lol.

Re: Taking time off work for your wedding
because I'm getting married in the middle of the school year, I can't take off too much time. I'm getting married on a sunday and the thursday before is yom kippur, so I will have off thursday and i'm taking friday and then i have saturday. so I have 3 days before the wedding and then a week after for the honeymoon.
if you can take the days and feel you need them, definitely take them!!

Re: Taking time off work for your wedding
It depends on my job situation. Right now I'm a contractor and my contract runs up in Aug. I'll need to get a job or another contracted position at that time, so I may just end up working until 12/22 then taking off 12/23,12/24 and 12/26 to get stuff done. It's hard though because it is the holiday week.

Re: Taking time off work for your wedding
Our wedding was on a Saturday night, I only left work early on Thursday to head up to the rehearsal and then took off on Friday. I didn't need any more days than that. Everything was already done by Wed and most of it I did while I was sitting at my desk at work.

Re: Taking time off work for your wedding
My wedding is a Sunday and I'm only taking off the Friday before. I'm taking 2 weeks off for my honeymoon so I didn't have many more days left. I don't know if I'd want the whole week before off though... I would be too anxious!

Re: Taking time off work for your wedding
I'm planning to take a week off! But I keep thinking about it and like you I'm like.. do I really need the whole week off? I think I would worry myself to death about what I've forgotten to do! hehe May decide to work from home the beginning of the week and then take days off closer to the date.
