Can anyone explain to me as to why and how you number your reply envelopes? Also, any easy ways of keeping a spreadsheet/ thanks!!! :)

Re: tallying/numbering response cards?
why: people don't always write their names or you can't read it. this ensures that you know who sent in the response.
45 is aunt sue 46 is uncle bob etc...
how: just write a tiny number on the back side...make a list in excel...i can email mine if you'd like so you can see what i did....give me some time to find the 'blank' one i send out though. FM me if you want it.
it really made keeping up easier.
i also put the same # on index cards with each name and address so that when we sit down to do the seating, we again can easily sort out who's a yes and have the full names right there!

Re: tallying/numbering response cards?
I made my guestlist on wedding channel and printed it out so when I was doing the invites, I wrote a number next to the name on the list and also put the number on the back of the response card in the corner.

Re: tallying/numbering response cards?
i'm such a space cadet - for some reason i made my spreadsheet in Word instead of Excel. Can i transfer it over to Excel? There's NO way i'm re-typing it

I think you can transfer it. Try copying and pasting and see what happens.

Re: tallying/numbering response cards?
I didn't even think about that. I put an obvious space for people to write in their names and how many will be attending...hmmm...should I still number?

Re: tallying/numbering response cards?
i highly recommend doing this - we wrote the # small on the back of the card. and then on out master guest list had a list of each name nd corresponding #. it came in handy quite a few times - with dumb people forgetting to write their name inside the card.
it took a little extra time to make sure the #s corresponded with the right invite but TOTALLY worth it!
