TammyJill or Anna

Original post by Suzanne

How do you get the 'deals' at the supermarket that your talking about.

I am so bad, i dont even use regular coupons, needless to say i have MAJOR shopping expenses everymonth, and now that we are moving into the new house I would love to start doing that.

Sorry if I sound not to bright, but i am really confused..

Marcela - I am sure you know this but the Waldbaums in College Point (just past target) doubles coupons. I am not sure about the one on Francis Lewis & 35th. If you find one that doubles that's closer, can you let me know?

I hated tht Waldbaums!!! what about the Waldbaums in Bay Terrace?

Re: TammyJill or Anna

The bay terrace one doesn't double and parking there now is a nightmare with the holidays.

Re: TammyJill or Anna

see I always thought parking there was better than 35th street (since that parking lot is smaller than my closet)

Re: TammyJill or Anna

I thought you were referring to the one in college point. I don't really go to the one on 35th Avenue and when I do I usually just park on the street and not even bother with the parking lot - you're right that one is so small it's useless.

Bay Terrace is just overrun with holiday shoppers right now. Last year they even offered horse drawn carraige rides in the parking lot

Good for you Marcela!
Its SOOO Worth it! I would only want it on weekends but it costs MORE for just weekends, since thats a 'special' deal! and I still have the 'deal' from last year! I pay only $1.25 a week! and its going up to $1.35 in January and eventually, a few months later, EVERYONE (even me ) will pay $1.99, which is still not bad at all.
If I use ONE coupon per week, it pays for the subscription

Marcela, not all supermarkets in Queens double coupons... ask around. Most of the Waldbaums and Stop&Shops should.

Anna- I am paying $0.99 per week for the Weekend only. i got this deal at the home show.

Re: TammyJill or Anna

kathy - thats a great deal. i pay 1.75 for the weekend alone! after seeing what anna pay's for the week, i am def getting ripped!

Lauren, I would complain. $0.99 per week is also listed on their website. I would check that out.

So what do you do so that they double coupons at SnS or Waldbaum's?

You cut them from the paper and just hand them in!

so if I clipped a coupon for let's say 50 cents off of toothpaste, they will take off 1.00? and do they take ALL coupons?

Hi girl!
yes, they double but if you have two colgate and they are the same coupon in waldbaums one will be 1.00, the other wont double, also in pathmark it may not double, only Stop and shop and waldbaums double up to 1.00, I got lots of toothpaste free or just pay tax!

I'm just copying this over from the teri's list post because it does help me. Tammy, come to think of it I do notice that they sometimes double both coupons at Waldbaums, but only rarely...maybe just when they're new.
**************

Something I started doing a few months ago: My mom and I switch coupon flyers from Newsday when we're done cutting them out for ourselves. This way we each get doubles of every coupon we use that the other doesn't need. Waldbaums will give you face value for the second coupon after the first one doubles. For example I got Nutella for free: It was 2.49 but I had my coupon (-2.00) and my mom's coupon (-.49-you can't get back money, at least not at Waldbaums.) This works best if you and the person you switch with don't buy a lot of the same stuff.

This thread is too funny.
Tammy I do EXACTLY WHAT YOU DO!! LMAO (Only look at KK for that $7.50 off coupon ) and I make lists for all stores, it only takes me a few minutes each, because I just glance through and see what catches my eye.
If I have ten items at one store, and 2 at another, I will just buy everything at one store, unless I plan to be in the vicinity of the next store...

Question-do they accept competitors circulars?
For instance, WB has Entenmanns on sale for 2 / $5 this week and SS has them for $1.99!
Will they honor their comp price?? Im sure they will, Im going to ask tomorrow when I go, Im bringing the SS flyer...

I always pass around my extra coupons to family and friends, we swap extras

Kathy, great deal ! 99cents for weekends only!

I noticed that coupons sometimes come on Sat and sometimes sunday, right tammy?
and is Fridays paper a good one, I forget which ones are the biggies, besides sat and sun.
