Re: Tanning

I went the airbrush route. I went to Brazil Bronze in Great Neck. Linda is great! I loved my tan and I've been back twice since the wedding!! I had no problem with streaks at all.

Here are some pics. For my Saturday wedding, I got airbrushed on Thursday night because I did not want to look too tan.

Here is a pic from my rehearsal dinner on the next day, Friday:

Then here's 2 days later at the wedding:

I also just went again a few weeks ago. I went on a Friday night and this is what I looked like the next day - I had her go a little darker this time.

I highly recommend the air brush tanning, but I would def test it out first. Good Luck!

Re: Tanning

I have done airbrush before (at Paul Labrecque in NYC) and had a great experience. For the wedding though, I decided to fake & bake since I wanted to be tan for my final makeup & hair trials as well as my fittings. I went to Portofino in NYC a few times and had a package at Hollywood Tans. I went about twice a week and then a week or two til the wedding, I went almost every other day! It takes me awhile to tan.

I didn't get superdark though since my DH is very fair and it would've looked kinda weird!

Christine, you're like Miss Hawaiin Tropic in this picture - I LOVE it!! I'm so pale right now - I really need to get myself a tan!!

Re: Tanning

I tried airbrush tanning and HATED IT!! I know some people have great experiences, but I didnt. My hands and feet turned orange, especially around my nail beds and I had streaking on my left leg.

I am going to tan before the wedding. I think that I am going to do about 3 sessions spread apart...my wedding is in October, so I dont want to look TOO tan.

Re: Tanning

I probably won't be tanning before the big day... I think it would kind of silly be all tan in October! Besides, I have Russian skin - it's not supposed to be anything but pale.

If I did, I'd go airbrushing... the health risks of tanning beds are just so not worth it.

Re: Tanning

I currently get airbrushed...

however before the big day I will be fake and baking because its a little more permanent and it will still be ther for the honeymoon...

I currently do airbrushing..and i love it..but sometimes if you wear white it bleeds on it..and i think sometimes it smells too!!!

I love it..i just want something more permanent for the wedding!
