ok i've come to the conclusion that i think i need to go tanning old school style. the reason for this is my skin is so so pale, and i have a tendency to burn ridiculously at first, and i know if i do airbrush tanning i'm going to get crispy the first day of my honeymoon. so i figured if i need to get some color for the wedding and i don't want to burn on HM, i'll hit a tanning bed. fine.
my mind is pretty much made up here but does that make sense? I feel like the damage to my skin going tanning a few times is probably the same (if not less) than i would get with a really bad burn on the HM. And i could put spf 50 everywhere but the medicines i take make my skin absurdly prone to burning.
what do u think? Thanks. And also if anyone wants to recommend tanning places for me I'd appreciate it. I used to go in college but haven't gone around here in a while. garden city area.
Don't go tanning as you can see I'm very pale I used spf 50-70 on my honeymoon and I did not get burnt at all
protect your beautiful skin
I would hate to see you have a reaction and have that in your wedding photos forever

Re: tanning dilemma and need recommendations
I went to a place in great neck for my airbrush tan - it's their sole business and she is soooo peticular about it. If you want their name, FM me. Here is a pic of me airbrush tanned. I am paler than pale and I had skin cancer when I was 14, so I cannot tan at all!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
thanks everyone for your input. i have to be honest i'm just not great with sunscreen. i'm lazy. i admit it. i know myself and i know i'll wind up with a bad burn no matter how good my intentions are. i will check out beach bum there is one pretty close to me in east meadow.
Thats the one I go to! Its very clean there and the beds are very nice. The staff will also help you pick what bed you need.

Re: tanning dilemma and need recommendations
Hmmmmm... I am personally against Tanning. I myself am very PALE and use to Tan quite frequently until I was diagnosed with melanoma on my right arm and had surgery to remove part of that bicep and underwent Chemo after. Matter of fact, I am going today after work for my 6 month checkup and skin check. (Crossing Fingers........) So, ITA with some of the other Girls...Get the Spray Tan, Mama and then use a very High SPF on your HM
