Another question: is salon tanning bad for you? Worse than being in the sun on the beach?

Never tried airbrushing but I plan to start tanning about a month before my wedding. I think with only two weeks to go and being 'white' it may be chancey to go tanning - you'd hate to get a bad burn or something. But you would know how you react to sun best ...

I would rather do the airbrushing. The results are instantaneous and you might have to do several visits to the tanning salon to get the same result.

I only tried it once the air brushing and turned my body orange.

I have never done the airbrushing but a colleague did once and her skin had a bad reaction to it. I plan on going tanning a month away from the wedding. I don’t mind doing the beds b/c I can decide what color I want to have the day of.

Just be really careful in the tanning salon. Maybe just start going now for 2-3 minutes and work your way up. I don't go anymore because I burned badly the last time I went so I now do the Mystic Tan. It wasn't that expensive and I liked the results. If you decide to do the Mystic just make sure to use the barrier cream correctly (blocks your nails) and really dry off so you don't streak. You'll probably have to go twice before your wedding since you start to fade.

*If I was you though because of getting married in a few weeks I would go to a professional and get it done (like Elizabeth Arden)

I do tanning in the winter ...My dermatologist recomends it for my skin condition! I plan on starting in January for my March wedding. :)

I wouldn't do the air brushing if you are pale - I tried it and it comes out orangey and so streaky!!! It also rubbed off onto my clothes long after the day I had it done. go tanning- get recommendations- it is not the healthiest, but for one time in your life it won't hurt you . . .If you go to a quality place they will advice you so that you do not burn.
