I am super fair skinned with tons and tons of freckles and I usually don't tan that much. I actually haven't really tried to tan in years - I put spf 30 (of 50 when I find it) on if I am at the beach and then do the fake tan lotion at home. I've liked the results of that but I am nervous that even though I will do it days before the wedding (the fake tan) it will rub off on the dress.
So maybe I should go to a tanning salon?
Do girls that normally burn in the sun, tan in tanning beds?
If you think I should do it, what is the process? I don't want to get too dark but I want a nice color for the wedding day.
Thanks.

Re: Tanning salons
If you burn, you can still (and will) burn in a tanning bed. Especially if you haven't tanned in years. You still have some time, I would suggest (and this is what I am doing) going every three days and do the least amount of time per session.
I've actually gotten busy & messed up the schedule but I'm getting a 'healthy glow' which is fine with me.

I've paid anywhere from $6 to $12 depending upon the type of bed.

Re: Tanning salons
I have a friend from Canada who is a professional make up artist and I asked her for some tips. She said definately no tans if you are doing a make up trial and then using the same make up for the wedding day. She said that a good artist will write down all the products used that look good so there is no guesswork on the big day. So if you get a trial with no tan then go back for make up with a tan, it wont look the same. It makes sense but I love how I look with a tan so maybe go to a tanning salon for the trial and then again for the wedding.
