The post about wanting to walk out on vendors had me thinking....
do you think Banquet Managers listen to what you say when they leave you in their office to 'talk amongst yourselves'?
As we were in the room of two different RH's the Banquet manager left us alone in the room, both times I had the strangest feeling that they could hear what we were saying.... Then when the guy came back it kinda confirmed it but obviously it could be me reading into actions to far and/or a coincidence but..
1st hall we loved and they guy came back in cheerful and ready to continue
2nd hall we didn't like and the guy came back kinda rushing us out/cutting answers short/ etc...

I dont think so.... otherwise it is very very embarrassing, cause last time we were at our hall things didnt go as planned and the BM didnt show any signs that he had any idea what was said when he went to make a copy of deposit receipt. but next time i'll try not to talk too much, who knows?

i don't think so. i do think that some BM's have been doing their job for such a long time that they can read people well.
but then again who really knows.

Funny you type this. This happened at a RH that I went to. The BM left the room for me, my mom and sis to talk. The minute he left I think he did something to the phone because we heard a beeping sound coming from the phone. However, we quickly caught on and started to speak pig Latin.
Hmmmm... I think we were left alone only once. And we were left alone with the BM's nephew and a bottle of champagne, so we weren't saying anything in either direction.
Well actually I take that back. We were left alone a couple of times when the BMs went to get quotes.We didn't really say much though; we exchanged glances.

IDK....Anything I'd say I'd say in front of them so if they listened I wouldn't care.

I had that feeling too...but really don't think so. Just me feeling paranoid discussing someone in their space without them there...kinda. But one place particularly I had that feeling. LOL Maybe they do it for candid feedback....

wow i never thought they would listen in like that. it'd be so awkward wouldn't it? i don't think FH and I talked about the RH's either way tho so i guess its all good.
