Tasting at the Bourne Mansion

Went to our tasting this past week end(Saturday)
The food was Great!!
It was nice to see the Mansion set up for a party. We were laughing, when we got there, we thought they were setting up for a wedding. They were actually setting up for a 170 PPL communion
I was shocked! The family brought about 300 pictures to put up all over the place and candles. It was insane, but looked great!
On the downside, I was a little disappointed that we were only able to try 3 entrees. I wish we could have tried the Cocktail food and some other dishes as well. But I am sure it is all delicious!

WOW 170 people communion?!?!?! and I thought DH's family was bad with 110 people baptisms!!!!!

i have a couple of questions

how many peole could you bring - how many did you bring

did you select the entrees before hand to try - or ar they the ones that they are serving that day?

did ben say anything about any new menu changes?

We had 4 people, my parents, FH and myself. I am really not sure how many you can bring. But there were others there that had more than us. You might want to ask Ben first.

We only got to try the entrees that were being made for the party (3 of them) I would have liked to try more to get a good idea, but I guess they don't do that. You get to taste whatever is being served at the party.

Ben did mention that there will be some other special items (extras) that we will be able to add and that we will discuss it when we meet for the menues. AS far as the choices go, they are the same.

It went very quick, I felt like we were waiting longer then trying. They give you 3 dishes of food, each dish as the entree and then you share.

Oh, he also has a new linen pattern. It is striped.

We tried the chicken dish, the filet mingon (spelled wrong) with a Gorgonzolla crust and the Mahi Mahi.
