I got mine done at Rising Dragon on 23rd street in Manhattan. FH got his at DaVinci in Wantagh.
I second DaVinci that is where I got both my tats, my tongue pierced and belly button peirced ( the peircing are long gone - had to with my profession) but they are really really clean.

My friend from HS is a tattoo artist at Da Vincnci in Wantagh. His name is Mike Runbenaul. He is always traveling all over the world, b/c he is supposingly that good. His waiting list is about 6-9 months, but I have seen his work on some of my friends and I think he's worth it. I got mine done at 18 at Body Designs I think it's in Islip and I hate it now. But I was young and stupid.
that is who did 1 of my the other one was done by alex- i think that was his name he was from the UK. Mike is AWESOME and FAST!

Yes, I did hear he is fast but very talented. One of my BM just booked with him and couldn't get an appointment until the fall, but I guess it's worth the wait. When I decide what I really want, I am going to get it from him

That's funny! I got one each at both of these places. I LOVE my Rising Dragon Tat and I LOVE Mariano- he's so cute- I wonder if he's still there?

Yeah Mike is really good- my uncle has a few by him- and by Frank- his more traditional Harley-type tats... My uncle is really good friends with Frank who owns the shop.
But Mike is REALLY good- I've seen him a few times at the tattoo show and their booth is always PACKED!

Re: Tattoos
I got my 2 of my 3 tattoos at DaVinci's in Wantagh.. all of my friends have gone there as well and they are really good.. I also have one on my foot.. a flower. I got it about 7 years ago and it still looks perfect, although I didn't get it colored in because I didn't want too much attention..

Re: Tattoos
I have multiple, but the best work I have is from Artful Ink in Bohemia.
DH has some fantastic work from Tattoo Frenzy in Babylon/Lindenhurst.

Re: Tattoos
I got one done in England, one at Studio 69, and one at a place near the Attias flea market (I can't remember the name and I think they shut down.)
