Do they look less formal? Could I get away with a dark colored tea length in May? Help!!

Re: Tea length dresses
I'm doing tea-length for my bridesmaids and I'm having a Sat night wedding in June. To make it a little more formal, I'm doing strapless, A-line. Also, cute, strappy shoes are a must. Probably I'll have my BM wear the same shoes, and I'll buy them for them.

Re: Tea length dresses
I would love my BMs to wear tea length dresses but I'm leaving the final decision (w/in reason) up to them.
As for the color, go as you please. Don't feel like you're limited by season.

Re: Tea length dresses
I LOVE tea length....I think maybe an a-line skirt that is a little 'puffy or fluffy' whatever, I don't know the word, but with something like tulle under it will make it a little more formal looking...

Re: Tea length dresses
I'm having a formal Sat night wedding in March and my girls are wearing tea length. They don't look any less 'dressed up.' If you find a dress you like and it's tea length, go for it.

Re: Tea length dresses
I loved the tea length dresses and really wanted to have my party in them!!! I think they are gorgeous and are not informal - my BP girls just preferred long skirts especially since it will be cold in feb so we went long.

Re: Tea length dresses
I think tea length is beautiful, and can be as formal as you want it to be. If you are having an evening wedding of course a dark color is ok.

Re: Tea length dresses
Im definitely doing them..my wedding in April. I wore a long dress for an August wedding where it was warm. Nice dress...looked great but I kept tripping on the train,
So i decided for my girls,...no tripping.....tea length dresses and color, PINK!

Re: Tea length dresses
I'm not a fan of them, but I do think they are formal and nice. I'm very traditional so a gown is more my style. I wore them for my friends wedding. I guess the reason I disliked them soo much is that I'm plus sized with enormous calves. The tea length made me look huge and my calves is all you noticed. It isn't the most flatterning length for plus size girls, but I do think they are lovely
