This is one that shocks everyone who is Catholic.

Dec 8 is a Holy Day of Obligation, it is the Immaculate Conception of the Virgin Mary NOT Jesus . . .

Mary was conceived in St Anne's womb with no orginal sin, so the was prepared from birth to become the mother of Jesus ( which doesnt mean she had no sin, she was just born the Original sin given to us by Adam and Eve )

so it has nothing to do with 'virginal conception'

a pet peeve of mine since the term 'immaculate conception' is used so widely

thats true too. i tell my students im american by nationality (where my family orginally came from) is Italian

not all African Americans are:


lazy
on welfare
stupid
ignorant
living in projects
or in jail..
