Just today I was praying that the summer doesn't go by too fast. I'm enjoying every minute and I'm getting a lot of wedding stuff done!!!!

I'm enjoying it a lot. I purposely chose July to get married so I'd have time off after work and before the wedding...it is working out great! I'm super-relaxed about getting stuff done because I have ALL day to do things. I look forward to having over a month off after the HM too.

I'm trying to get a job in a school district, well in the office. I know it's civil service and I passed the tests. Does anyone know how long it takes to get that kind of position?

I just got a job with NYCDOE..I've been working in a private school for the last 2 years.. I loveee being off, I'm working on my tan!

WEll I took and passed my exams but You have to wait to be contacted for interviews. I got a few letters from districts & only one interview. That's it.

YES! I actually attempted getting a summer job; i worked two hours and then quit! I couldn't stand it! We totally need our breaks!!!

Good decision...we do need our breaks! I always apply for summer...but since Im a guidance counselor the jobs go to those with seniority...its like ok I tired not my fault they didn't pick me
