teeny tiny bridal party

my fiance and I decided that we just wanted to have my sister and his brother as our bridal party.
we thought it would be very sweet and intimate to keep it that small (plus it would mean a lot less headaches...coordinating with a bunch of our friends, worrying about $$, etc).
but now my mom is making me second guess this. she basically saying that it would be odd if there were no ushers to walk her or my grandma down the aisle. hmm...i didnt even think of that. is this really that big of a deal??

I think its what you and FH want...we are still telling our other friends that we want group pictures with them (and will tell the photographer as well!!!) And the other guys have agreed (with honor) to usher!

Do what you and FH want. There is no right or wrong way and if it makes you happy to have a small BP, go for it.

Re: teeny tiny bridal party

I am doing the exact same thing for the exact same reasons. We are well into our thirties and all of our friends have kids. Do you think my female friends want to buy another BM dress? I only have a few very close friends that I have known for 20 plus years. I look back at my parent's wedding album and people fall by the wayside. MY mom had 5 attendants and she lost touch with all except one. My Dad had his brothers so it's a different story.

Do what you want!!!!! I can't emphasize this enough. With all do respect to your mom, she had her wedding, this is yours.

Re: teeny tiny bridal party

My uncle will be escorting my mother into the reception. She is walking me down the aisle. Maybe you could think of that as an option for her.

Re: teeny tiny bridal party

You can definitly have other people be ushers. Even with kevin haveing 3 GM I asked if he wanted other people to usher. It dosn't have to be the GM
