Teeth whitening...

Who plans on doing it? Whether its professional or DIY..if yes, which one are you doing? And for those of you who already did it....what did you use, and do you recommened?

I will be doing the new crest white strips a few months before the wedding - will try to convince my FH to do them too.

I had Zoom whitening a couple of years ago and to be honest it didn't do as much as I was expecting. BriteSmile is supposed to be great, but it's out of my budget. My dentist told me that the crest white strips work very well if you use them as directed.

I had it done at the dentist!!!! It was brite smile and they gave me 3 whitening pens for free to keep them really white unitl the wedding. The only downside was that it was really uncomfortable and my teeth were so sensitive afterwards i was in so much pain i was in tears the whole night!!!!!!!! But i highly reccomend the pens i think you can order them off the brite smile website

I used crest whitestrips. They work really well, but just be careful not to get them on your gums if you use them. I wasn't so careful and my gums were really sore.

I'm getting mine done professionally. My braces will be coming off a week before the wedding, so I'll get it done then

BUT, I have used the Crest white strips and they work GREAT!!!!!

Yes, I believe they do come in a 30 day supply. I also use the Crest whitening toothepaste and I love it. I feel like it maintains the white in between using the strips.

Crest White Strips have never worked for me so I gave up on them. I was considering Zoom but my dentist said I may go up a shade or 2 so really it's not worth the money to me. If the dentist thought I would go up several shades, I would consider it. My mom got britesmile a few years ago and it made a difference!

i think i'm gonna do crest whitestrips too! anyone know how long the effects last? my eparty is next month...if i do it now, think it'll last till july?

It's been a while since I used them, but maybe try the toothepaste too. It helps. I use whitening gum too so when I can't brush I can at least try to keep stains away as much as possible.

Ive never used the strips, but we use the Rembrandy whitening toothpaste and also 5 minute white...with the trays, they are really annoying to use, but if you keep them on a few minutes and then quickly brush your teeth it works in days

I got a packet from my dentist called 'Night White' where you put the gel into trays and wear them at night... It worked REALLY well... My teeth came out beautiful and about 4 shades whiter! I never had any whitening before and for some reason, even though I have healthy teeth and have never had a cavity... my teeth were yellow My dentist said that's normal and that I would really benefit from the Night White... and it worked great!!!

Dr. K in Stony Brook did them: 689-8570

He was wonderful and I highly recommend!!!

I'm going to give myself a 'refresher' with the Crest White Strips-- he told me those work well. I'll do that a few weeks before the wedding.

I had Zoom whitening and it worked really well. Everybody complimented me on my white teeth. I will use whitestrips before the wedding though.

I used to work in a dentist office that did the Britesmile... it worked really well, i did it too... and my teeth came out 4 shades lighter but you still need to be careful (red wine, dark soda, coffee). if you have really sensitive teeth i dont recomend it. make sure you call them directly they always have some kind of promo where you can save 100 or 200 on the whitening.....
