So as I mentioned yesterday we are having raffles at the shower. Most of the money we collect will go to charity (a small portion will be for reimbursing some expenses like favors, decorations, etc.)
So girls tell me your favorite charity and then we will vote on it!!! And even if your not coming to the shower, you can still participate!

this is true...YAP is young autism program that we can make as a local donation to the DDI facilities on long island...my sorority and other organizations at my college have supported them in the past...
That is where I work... There is the YAP Charitable Foundation and the DDI Foundation. Since it will be coming close to the holidays the money can be donated to buy gifts for the children and adults in the residences that have no families.
NSASA-- Nassau Suffolk Autism Society of America also does a lot for children with autism and there families.

michael j fox parkinson foundation for me too: my uncle and both grampas have parkinson.
also any cancer charity, my grama had breast cancer and now it spread to the rest of her body. she is undergoing yet another chemo
I also like Kris's idea of donating to both local and major charities. against domestic violence would be a great one
