Tell us how did your fi proposed!

I love my story ! Sorry if its long! it took place over two days!

when: March 23,2005
where: on a rock climbing wall

Our anniv. is March 22 but FI said that he got 'show tickets' for March 23rd. I told him we should just go out for dinner and the show on the 23rd and he agreed.

Well, guess who shows up at my job March 22nd with a stretch limo in front of my building?!?!?
I was going to die! I was totally not dressed, my hair looked like crap and all i could think was ' omg, is this the night?'

well, thankfully it wasnt! He totally had me thinking he was going to propose every time we made a surprise stop( the place he told me loved me, times square etc)
We ended our amazing night and he said to dress comfortably for tomorrow night.

Well, the next day, he picks me from work dressed in sweats and a hoodie and i was completely thrown for a loop.

Still unaware of where we were going, we finally ended up at Chelsea piers. I thought maybe we were going to get spa treatments.Well, no.

We walked through the gym and straight to the back by the rock climbing wall and he yells ' surprise! I got us rock climbing lessons' ( b/c i had once mentioned that we should go rock climbing together) I was excited but in my mind i was thinking, ok tonight is not the night. chalk it up to one hell of an anniversary celebration.

well, at the very end of our session he says that we should climb the rock together so that we can take pics of eachother.
Not thinking anything, we climb together, he then pulls out ....a camera! takes a pic and then goes back into his pocket and pulls out a ring box and proposes to me while we are suspended in the air together.
It was the best night of my life and somehow he dropped the camera to the guys below who captured everything.

Sorry so long but it was the greatest thing that ever happened to me..

My FI and I go away for long weekends, we love it. He told me to pack a bag as he was taking me away, so I did just that without question. We drove to Lake Placid for a 4 day weekend. We were outside and the atmosphere was just perfect, flurries, the snow was glistening, white Christmas lights everywhere and he got down on his knee by a large Christmas tree outside our cottage and popped the question. I was shocked, I cried and cried. He had planned the entire weekend, horse and carriage ride, couple massage, dinners, wine, room service and even dog sledding.

I have a daughter and he has two children, he sat them down individually and asked them all if they agreed with us getting married prior to asking me. I appreciate the fact that he took the time to involve the kids. He also asked my parents.

We are getting married a year to the day that he proposed. I love my FI

Place: Blydenberg park
My FH had been wanting to take me there for weeks, but something kept coming up. We always love walking in the woods and feeding the ducks and geese. So, one Sunday morning I suggested we go to the park since I knew he had been wanting to go. He was thrilled. We were walking along the path and he took me to one of our favorite spots. (The path opens up to the water and all of these beautiful swans were in the water). He told me how much he loved me and I told him how much I loved him. We were looking out at the water and he said isn't this perfect and I said yes and turned my head and he had the ring out. I just started sobbing like an idiot and he asked and I said YES!!!

Congrats girls! I love all of your stories and wish you all nothing but the best.

well i knew it was coming at some point becasue he had come to my father to ask for my hand in marriage..... so like 3 months went by and stillnothing.. i think we were all starting to wonder. My dad was even thinking maybe he had second thoughts.... Anyway my FH is the type of guy who loved to do everythign unexpected; never on a holiday or on a birthday when one mght be expecting some kind of surprise...So when people were telling me X-mas times, its coming my response was 'now way, i know Angelo!'
Boy was I wrong. On X-Mas Eve, we went to his house open gift with his family and then we had to get to my house to have dinner. so as we were opening gift with his whole family... like 15 people he was trying to convince me to open my gifts i opened some cute lil stuff and my laptop...so then he was like here is the last one. it was a big box so i thought nothing of it...so i start unwapping and i was it wa a precious moment box and i got so excited since I collect them... he took the fiuring out of the box for me so i dont see the name.. so i was taking the bubble paper off and there it was.. he had attatched the rin to the box that the lil boy is holding.. then in front of all those people he got down on one knee........ I didnt expect it at all and it was the cutest thing i had ever seen.. here is a pic of the figurine
