I just wanted to share this with you all. My mother has lost about 70 pounds on Atkins. She is now down to a size 14 - 16. Im really proud of her - so anyway, today with 2 of her friends, they went dress hunting for my wedding. The woman at DINAs told my mom that she wouldnt be able to fit the dress over her big butt!!! IN THOSE WORDS!!!!and loud about it!!! OMG. then she was telling my mom PLEASE dont squeeze into that - i dont want it to rip!! CAN YOU BELIEVE THIS??? i swear this happend today!!! I feel so bad. I have to finish the story telling you that my mom tried the 14 on.. and guess what! IT FIT she said that she was praying in the fitting room for it to fit, just for spite.

i just felt so bad for her. I cant believe that she didnt freak out on the nasty lady
i wanted to call and complain, but my sister did already.
I just wouldnt want any of you or your moms / family members having to deal with that.
Its sad! but like i said the 14 fit!!!

First of all, a size 14 is NOT that big !! ESPECIALLY for an older woman !! what the hell is that *** of a salesperson thinking ??? I hope your mom strutted around in that size 14 just to spite her. - and if i were you, i'd send a written complaint to the owner of the store. - that is just a disgusting way to treat a person ! - Even if she were a size 22 trying to squeeze into a size 2 - there are MUCH more professional ways to handle a situation !

i agree. i think i may do that - write a letter. great idea. people shouldnt be treated that way no matter what their size

OMG, how awful! How dare they treat your mother that way! Congrats to her on losing 70 pounds, that is such a wonderful accomplishment! I am sure she will find a beautiful dress in another store (with Good salespeople), and I'm sure she is going to look stunning in whatever she chooses!
