Whether that is true or not. I still don't like the man. Him getting on with his life before she died is what really bothers me. Do wedding vows mean anything to him? It's till 'Death' not 'Brain Damage' do us part.

Would it make a difference to you if the Schindlers' ENCOURAGED Michael to move on with his life, including encouraging him to date other women?

According to the report prepared for Governor Bush regarding the case, that is what the Schindlers did (before the case turned ugly).

Oh my god, THANK YOU. This ridiculous debate could go on forever. This was a post about her passing away and it turned into a debate again. Even I said stuff not regarding her death and I now regret it.

MrsTC, well said!! I cannot believe people are arguing, posting links, going over the same stuff that has been said FOR WEEKS about this situation

There is NOTHING left to debate IMO -- whatever you believe you will continue to believe, we've determined that already. The ONLY truth of the matter is that she is GONE now.. her last days turned into a policially charged circus and to me THAT is perhaps the biggest tragedy of this entire case.. she became an 'example' and lost her identify in the process

Its horribly sad no matter WHAT you believe, can we just agree on that and move on

I got sucked into it as well. I apologize.

This has just been a terrible situation for all involved. There are no 'winners' today.

I hope all involved with the case do find some peace and comfort now that it is over.

We honestly don't know if he really loved her since they were having marital problems and there were talks of divorce before this happened to her. Either way, he should have let them see her... friction or not. It was selfish.

I don't know whether this is true or not, but I did see a report where each side had court appointed times that they could see Terri. Her parents had time with her this morning and then they left, and it was the husband's time. She died during the husband's time.

Don't know if it is true, but that may explain the situation if it is true.

George Bush's words on Terry Schiavo...I think his comments really put this situation in perspective:
'Today millions of Americans are saddened by the death of Terri Schiavo. ... I urge all those who honor Terri Schiavo to continue to work to build a culture of life where all Americans are welcomed and valued and protected.
'Especially those who live at the mercy of others. The essence of civilization is that the strong have a duty to protect the weak. In cases where there are serious doubts and questions, the presumption should be in the favor of life.'

No one knows unless they are in that situation. I AM in that situation. I have been watching a loved one, my father, die everyday since October 7th simply because my mother cannot come to terms with the fact that without him, she feels she has no purpose. After 49 years of mariage, I couldnt possibly try to understand how that feels. We just support her. All four of us kids have had to mourn for 6 months. It isn't fair, it hurts and it suc*s. I cry everyday. But life has to go on. Our lives have been turned upside down dealing with our own grief and hers as well.

Thank you very much. There is very little peace. I thank G-d everyday that I have my siblings and FH as my mother is not able to be much of a source of comfort. I cannot and do not blame her.

I hope that she can finally rest in peace now.

Poor thing.

I hope she rests in peace cuz they certainly didn't let her die in peace, being starved to death doesn't sound like dying in peace to me, I don't take care what that cold hearted husband of hers says.
