Ok first off don't get me wrong. I can't wait to get married. I love my FH and am looking oh so foward to being his wife. However I am terrified of having the actual wedding. I am a middle child and have always just blended into the background. My sisters are always the center of attention and no one ever really noticed me. Which is fine with me. But for my wedding it will be about me. Everyone will be looking at me. I started to hyper-ventalate just from trying dresses on. I broke out in hives and almost fainted. I was rather embarrassed. The closer it gets the more scared I get. Does any one else feel this way? Any one have any ideas on how to cope? I am a blusher and don't want to look sunburned in all my pictures . Any advice will be appreciated. Thanks for reading.

I'm always a nervous wreck too. I may be taking some Xanax that day to calm me down if need be. I break out into hives/blush when I'm nervous and start to sweat. Ugh, I hate being the center of attention and I'M AN ONLY CHILD! Believe me, you're not alone.
I was going to say xanax too, I used to take it everyday for anxiety..works wonders

I couldn't relate more!!! I have been having so much stress about this wedding. I hate being the center of attenttion and I'm a blusher too. I'm so glad to hear I'm not alone. I feel the same way - I want to be married to FH sooooo bad but the actual wedding, I'm kind of dreading.

Personally I'm a big fan of Xanax
I totally know how you feel. I am really uncomfortable being the center of attention. I am DREADING the whole being announced thing at the reception.
Deep breaths and sedatives!!!
ADIVAN.......it is helping me through my wedding plannig stress right now and will hopefully work on my wedding day.
(I am so glad there are no 'scientologists' on the board telling us we should not use medicine.)

Don't worry so much.... all the people you are inviting are either family or friends.... you would never be nervous if you were in a room with 2- 3 of them, would you? They are all coming to support you, and celebrate your relationship with your FH.
Also, even on those crazy wedding shows where you see the cake tumbling off the table, in the end, that 'horrible' event ends up being the best memory of the reception...
Just look at the individuals, not the crowd. You'll be fine........

Meds all the way -- I cried during the E-party, and I will not be the crying bride!!!!! A tear or two would be ok, but I am mush so that never happens!

I am very nervous about being the center of attention....it makes me feel very self conscious, I am going to just try to breathe and relax as much as I can

I really relate to how your feeling. I hate being the center of attention and i'm def a blusher. I really get nervous at the idea of the first dance with FH and everyone watching you but....I guess thats the fun of it!!!
