Thank You DVDs

Is anyone doing Thank you DVDs from their videographer?

I think it's an awesome idea but I know its a very new trend. My concern would be the postage for them I'm assuming would probably add up quickly! Looking for your opinions.

Thanks!!

i kind of feel like it's a waste ... personally, i don't want to watch other peoples' wedding videos (though i love looking at their pics), even if they're my friends. i think most people would not watch the video.

PLUS, i'd rather have a video watch party with my friends & family who want to see it. That way, we could all talk about it and reminisce and i could see their expressions.

JMO though

I don't know much about it but from what my videographer told me you record a shout out thank you the day of your wedding and they there are some clips from throughout the day.

It sounds like they are a bit expensive but since they are just starting to offer it, her current brides are getting a deal for a limited time. I'm concerned about the hassle of mailing them though.

This is a very good point thanks! If I got a dvd I'd certainy watch it at least the one time, but I'm sure there are too many people who wouldn't bother so it's probably not worth it. I appreciate your opinion!

Sending out DVD/CDs falls in the Media Mail category... Check out the USPS Price Domestic Pricing - it's already $2.38 for 1 piece! That quickly adds up!
