Thank You for your Opinions on my BP tatoo question!!

Thank You for your Opinions on my BP tatoo question!!

I just wanted to thank those who answered my post.... it def. showed the different thoughts on this!!

Okay... the BM that is in question is FH's young 20 something year old cousin.

This particular cuz has 2 large tatoos on BOTH arms and one on her back- so there goes the theory of positioning her in every picture so that the tatoos' don't show.

Tattoos def. mean something to some people. i myself have one (on my leg- out of site) I personally thought ahead when i getting how it would look if I needed to dress up- thus the reason for it being on my leg.
To be honest with you all- my tatoo means nothing to me- it was something I got when I was 18 just b/c.

We are all brides and we all want different looks for our wedding. For me I believe in carrying a look all the way through. I want a unified, classy look.
As a couple of you know MY picture means sooooo much to me, thus my concerns with the tatoos.

If it means suggesting or asking this one Bm to cover her tatoos so that she doesn't stand out that is just my feelings and I know more than half of the people in my circle of friends and family feel the same way!!!

Me suggesting, asking or wanting you put some damn powered on ur arm is not that bad..... I could be a BRIDEZILLA and ask you to do much worst.

Does this mean that I am trying to take away from her individuality- no.
This is a person that after her g-father died recently wanted to put a tribute tatoo on her hand. (Which I have no problem with) Her cuz and I had to 'school' her on the possibilty of her going on a job interview and not being able to cover it.... right then and there she realized that we were right.

I am sorry if this turned into another hot topic on the '07 board... i guess every now and then we need a little of that.

For the two brides that said that I would be 'rude 'to ask that or the one that said you would have 'balls' to ask- totally uncalled for, but I will leave it alone now.

Dayna- I know u didn't mean anything by your comments- maybe different choice of words- but none the less- I know what u meant

With that said- if I do have her in the BP ( in which she TOLD me she is in without me asking) I will STILL ask her to cover her tatoos....

Afterall: M Y Day MY WAY!!!!!

VERY well said. I was reading some of the responses and I didnt agree with many of them. Someones individuality is basically taken away the minute you pick their dress and tell them what dress to wear, or tell then how they want their hair. For God sakes, some brides even specify the type of shoes that need to be worn.
Asking someone to cover thier tattos so that one can achieve that classy elegant look is not irrational at all. To me it falls into the same catergory as picking their dress.

Mich..I dont blame u at all in feeling a certain way about not wanting tatoos in all ur pics.
Some tatoos have no meaning and are just there....But I agree some tatoos have deep meaning to some and in some ways may show signs of your pesonality...BUT do u really need to show off ur tatoo in order to prove who u are? For one day I'm sure one can make thier true colors shine though without having their tatoo showing.

I have tons of freinds who have tatoos and they themselves like to cover them up when it comes to a special occasion.

I guess that is where the difference is. For my wedding, my girls picked their own dress, their own shoes, their own hairstyles......For me, that is what worked best ...to each his own...but I will not be insulted for feeling the way I do......

Im sorry sweety.. i dont want to insult anyone at all...I was just stating my opinion. Like i said originally in the original post.... if it bothers the bride ( whoever she may be) b4 asking that person to be part of the BP it should have been mentioned that it is prefered that all thats are covered. In this case Michelle mentioned that it kinda wasn't an option so that was hard for her...but again generally speaking when u agree to be in a bridal party.. uknow that certain things will be asked of u as far as apperance goes.... in ur case it might have been a bit differnt sinc eu didnt tell then what dress u wan tthem to wear but didnt u tell them what color they had to choose?
Anyway..again i sorry if I insulted you or anyone else I was just giving my opinion.

If you felt 'your day, your way' why ask for opinions?????....I will say again IMHO, it takes b@lls to ask someone to cover up anything on their body for your wedding....you can all you want !!!!

Well Stephanie- consider me having BALLS..... let me know if u want to come see them!!!

In my original post I ASKED for opinions and I GOT them.
IN this post- I acknowledge and thanked everyone for their different opinions.

Now let's see about the asking part.... I asked my 07 girls and not u an 06 bride!!!!!

Let me find out we have a case of ANOTHER newlywed with too much time on their hands again trying to start sh!t again!!!!!
