Thank You for your Opinions on my BP tatoo question!!

I just wanted to thank those who answered my post.... it def. showed the different thoughts on this!!

Okay... the BM that is in question is FH's young 20 something year old cousin.

This particular cuz has 2 large tatoos on BOTH arms and one on her back- so there goes the theory of positioning her in every picture so that the tatoos' don't show.


Tattoos def. mean something to some people. i myself have one (on my leg- out of site) I personally thought ahead when i getting how it would look if I needed to dress up- thus the reason for it being on my leg.
To be honest with you all- my tatoo means nothing to me- it was something I got when I was 18 just b/c.

We are all brides and we all want different looks for our wedding. For me I believe in carrying a look all the way through. I want a unified, classy look.
As a couple of you know MY picture means sooooo much to me, thus my concerns with the tatoos.


If it means suggesting or asking this one Bm to cover her tatoos so that she doesn't stand out that is just my feelings and I know more than half of the people in my circle of friends and family feel the same way!!!

Me suggesting, asking or wanting you put some damn powered on ur arm is not that bad..... I could be a BRIDEZILLA and ask you to do much worst.

Does this mean that I am trying to take away from her individuality- no.
This is a person that after her g-father died recently wanted to put a tribute tatoo on her hand. (Which I have no problem with) Her cuz and I had to 'school' her on the possibilty of her going on a job interview and not being able to cover it.... right then and there she realized that we were right.

I am sorry if this turned into another hot topic on the '07 board... i guess every now and then we need a little of that.

For the two brides that said that I would be 'rude 'to ask that or the one that said you would have 'balls' to ask- totally uncalled for, but I will leave it alone now.

Dayna- I know u didn't mean anything by your comments- maybe different choice of words- but none the less- I know what u meant

With that said- if I do have her in the BP ( in which she TOLD me she is in without me asking) I will STILL ask her to cover her tatoos....

Like I said, when you make a post about 'do you think, blah blah blah, that is asking for opinions. Not everyone is going to agree with you, get over it ~!

No one cares about your wedding more than you so like I said a while back 'do what YOU want'

your welcome mrsmichel07-- i hope our opinions were able to help you make a good decision.

sometimes when people give their opinions they give them in a harsher way than is necessary to get their point across-- i don't know why but they do... i'm sorry that happens.

i get offended when that happens too but just try to not let it hurt you. we are all here for you if you need us-- and we will always give our opinions, whether we agree or disagree: politely.

While I agree that everyone is entitled to her own opinions, I find comments like the one posted above unneccesary. Everyone posts on all the boards... I have seen many 07 brides post on the 06 and 05 boards. Does this mean that everyone is only allowed to post on their own year's board? I thought that we're all here to help each other, whether we agree on everything or not. I know that many brides from other years other than 06 posted on the 06 boards and my threads. While they may not have all agreed with me, they still helped and had the right to post on whatever board they wanted.

Some people think having tattoos is not classy. The key words are 'some people think'. It's a matter of thier opinion. How people view it. I have seen you posts on the boards and I know you are having a Safari themed wedding. That is beyond anything I have ever seen or heard of and I am sure it is going to be awesomely 'classy' I can't wait until you get married so I can see your pics! I have tattoos and my friend M, who by the way is having a very upscale wedding, has two full sleeves and a sleevless dress. You can be covered in tattoos from head to toe...personally, if your a nice person and like animals- that's all that matters to me.

Hollie that is very well said!!! We are all here to help eachother... most of my ideas for my wedding and vendors booked for my wedding were based on opinions and things i saw on here from brides before me...04 & 05 brides... and the 07 brides now get to look at the 06 brides... saying nasty things about us is just not neccesary, especially since im sure 07 brides have gotten plenty of ideas and inspiration from us!
