Thank you notes
So I randomly got an engagement gift from my cousin last week. It's actually only my second one since I didn't publicize that we registered or anything. I want to send a thank you card but I ordered pretty engagement/wedding stationary that I won't have for at least another week. So my question is how long can you wait to send a thank you without it being super rude???

Re: Thank you notes
I think if it's within a month it should be fine. We sent out thank you cards from our engagement party one month later.

Anything within the month is fine. I love receiving gifts, only problem is where to store it all :)

I'd even say up to three months. My shower was in November, and I sent the last thank you out in January.

Thank you! So now, the second part of my question ... do I acknowledge the receipt of the gift on Facebook? Etiquette has like totally changed because of social media!!!

No. Just send a handwritten card asap when you receive the stationery.

What are people writing in their thank you cards? When its not someone I'm close to, I just write a generic 'Thank you so much for your generous gift. We look forward to celebrating at the wedding with you.' I feel like that is so boring though. Anyone have any better suggestions?Welcome New Vendors
