Ok after SOOOOO many of you recommended spain for a honeymoon i looked up info and OMG i cant believe how good the prices are. And this is for 5 star hotels and its so gorgeous. I would've booked it last night but we also have to figure out how long to stay in spain and how long in monaco.
For any of you girls who have been there, which hotels do you recommend? if we go to Seville, i definitely know which one we'd stay at there, but madrid and barcelona not sure about.

You guys are going to love it. I posted in your other post when you were looking for options that FBIL and his gf went for a wedding last year and decided to stay way longer than they had scheduled since they were having such an amazing time. And they're huge partiers too. They told me the locals go out all night long and no one sleeps (well, till siesta time in the afternoon). lol You're going to have so much fun!

Trip Advisor is a great site and I know our TA uses this often. Also, check out Rick Steves- maybe he has some info on his site (he has GREAT recommendations....)

Barcelona is amazing. However, I went after I graduated so I did not stay in any posh hotels! My best bet is to look up hotels in Tripadvisor.com and check out what other people have to say. Those are really the best ways to figure out. You'll also see rankings in terms of most popular hotels.

yeah i looked at tripadvisor.com...and its great bc one hotel i hadnt seen was on there and everybody raved about it. Its so nice and everyone said how the 2 brothers who own it are the nicest people and about how they treat you. So it was helpful.
You're going to have a great time. I had the time of my life in Barcelona. The shopping is fantastic, the food is great, people are friendly AND taking a 'siesta' in the middle of the day is FANTASTIC. Sigh... Love Spain!
all i have to tell fh is 'siesta in the afternoon' and he is down...he loves naps

If memory serves me right, Las Ramblas is the street that has all the action. I would suggest maybe staying somewhere near Las Ramblas.... Definitely check out the Guell Parc which features all the artwork from Gaudi. So amazing. I took lots of pictures there. I went to the Miro Musuem. They have lots of historical churches to check out. In the Plaza, we check out a few bars and restaurants as well. I'll try to brainstorm some more stuff.

Just want to say that's awesome you most definitely choose a place to HM. Just wondering though- is Spain nice all year round weather wise? Because after your thread and chatting so much about Spain it looked amazing for a HM. I always wanted to go but in Dec/Jan I dont know how the weather is and would it be worth it with the beaches etc. yuo know

thank you so much ....in barcelona we'd do a modern hotel but in seville I LOOOOOOVE those hotels that have these gardens in the middle, alot of open space, tables in little corners by tress...hope ppl understand what im talking about, but all along ive been wanting something like that.

fh's have to be so difficult with honeymoons W** lol. Well fh told tonight to have all the info prepared and well go over all of it, check out pricing for different packages and then see our TA...but ill keep you updated with prices if youre interested. I was so pleasantly surprised

Spain sounds beautiful! I have always wanted to go there. I'm sorry I can't suggest any hotels or sites to you. Barcelona & Mallorca are the two places in Spain that our cruise goes to in July.
