Re: A little shocked

I think she went into too much detail she could have said that short and sweet to avoid this response from you.

She would have hated me because I in no way knew what I wanted.
If she has no regards to holding back her thoughts than she doesnt deserve your business...there is a million other places that may be more willing to take the time and work on your idea with you.

I have a feeling that I know who it is, and I am a little shocked myself to say the least... that is an awful lot of ranting words for her to say that she could've summed up in a simple 'I think it would help if you were more specific about what you want. Maybe you can look at some inspiration boards, etc'

Vendors need to remember that it is our business that keeps them going...catch more flies w/ honey...

ITA. I think she was ranting too much to you. I, personally, would be offended by the email. To me, it is unprofessional. She could have phrased it much simpler and without the apparent attitude behind it. If she's frustrated then she should be talking to a friend not a customer.

i don't think it sounds rude ... the beginning sounds like they're a bit frustrated but i think they are really just trying to help ...

honestly, i know where this person is coming from - i've worked with clients who don't know exactly what they want and it ends up creating A LOT more work for me in trying to be psychic.

i would probably call them on the phone and see how they sound there (just to be 100% sure that they're not being nasty) ...

Thanks girls for your point of view. I appreciate your honesty. I spoke to her and she was really upset that she made me feel bad, so I'm giving this another chance. At least we both now understand what we both meant and want.
