Yea, I know it was really tough. We had been friends for over 17years.
I had to end a friendship with someone last summer due to the same b.s. (negativity)...we had been friends for about 13 years. I know it's tough...and there's going to be times where you miss her...but you'll then remind yourself of instances like this one and feel refreshed that you no longer need to deal with snide comments.

Good for you! I'm so sorry that you even had to deal with that type of person in the first place. But, I'm glad you stuck to your guns. You don't deserve to be treated like that. And if someone is going to bring that kind of poision into your life, then they don't deserve to be in your life.
I agree. This is exactly what FH said. I'm not going to say I didn't shad a tear because I did but I woke up today feeling refreshed. Like I did the right thing besides the swollen tonsils I woke up to. Thanks so much

Good for you!!! i recently ended a 30 year friendship because of negative comments about FH, his mom ,our wedding process and us not coming to see her as often as she wanted. The thing is I gave her a few chances and she kept pulling the same $hit. But like you said- i feel relieved. I feel I dont have to justify everything to her worry about accepting her phone calls and being stressed afterwards.

Thanks Celia!!! I don't know why people think you are obligated to them. I would never in a million years do that to a friend. I guess she wasn't a friend to begin with.

The fact that she would call you to see if you were mad is evidence that she knows she said something majorly f*cked up to you ... good for you for not backing down. She doesn't deserve to be part of your day.
