Thanks, USPS

Thanks, USPS

So I just went to the post office to get the stamps to send out my invites.

Not only do I have to do two of the dove stamps on the outside of the envelope (not exactly the most pleasing to the eye), but my RSVP is a postcard, and there are no postcard stamps available 'at this time', so I have to do an ugly Washington stamp for .23 and an even uglier .1 stamp TOGETHER...gross.

There's bigger things in life to worry about, but I'm just annoyed that after all the $$$ time and effort spent on these invites, they are now uglified by this stamp situation.

oh so sorry!! i had the same issue.. i have postcards RSVP and my FH refused to use the 23 + 1.. so we used .37 instead.. it's a waste of extra $20 but he wanted it.. in the end it doesn't really matter

I feel your pain...it sux!

I had to put the $.60 golden emblem eagle stamp WITH the far more hideous red, white, and blue star $.03 upgtade stamp...

I made fh stamp the invites b/c I didn't have the heart to 'ruin' the lovely envelopes...

but I do like the two dove $.39...I think they are cute.

I ordered my .37 stamps from online since they don't have it in the store.
I like the spring flower though. So I will have double stamps instead on my invitation.
I just don't like the 60 cent + 3 cent stamps.

I used two dove .39 stamps instead of going throug the extra expense of those customized .63 ones. People DO NOT care about the envelope.

I feel your pain. I had my SIL go to the main NYC post office to get stamps for my STD's because no local post office had stamps to equal 63 cents using less than 5 stamps!!!!!!!

There are beautiful wedding stamps coming out in March...I think that'll be too late for you though...definitely

That stinks. I thought that it was possible to hand stamp all the invites with a preset stamp, as supposed to putting actual stamps on them from a booklet.

awww! don't worry, no one's going to receive your invite and be like ' God, she couldn't put a nicer stamp on here? This is so ugly!' what's the deal w/ USPS anyway? they know everyone gets married in the spring and summer!

I ordered customized stamps from zazzle-I just uploaded a pic of a wedding cake. The only thing I don't like about them is how BIG they are. They should be a little smaller.

I feel your pain too. But I figure the stamps are the least of my worries. I haven't heard anyone say anything bad about the invitations, and we'd normally hear it.
