Thatched Cottage & Swan Club

Hi there ladies,

I'm helping my friend narrow down her RH list. Her favorites are Thatched Cottage and the Swan Club. However, her family are big 'foodies'

Neither of us have been to a wedding at either RH and besides the entertainment, the food is THE biggest factor. It would be so helpful if any of you can share your opinions. In the little time we've researched, we've seen mixed reviews. So I thought I would come straight to the source ;)

I just went to the swan clubs expo, and growing up italian I was impressed with the cocktail hour food....it was definitely top notch and delicious!!

thatched cottage food is literally so good, that in 32 years its the only weddign where ive remembered the food, we were ANIMALS me and my fiance.. We were gonna get married at a hall and it was btween the swan club and tatched cottage... swan club is great .. amazing grounds...

Swan Club was one of my final choices! I didn't end up going with them (only because they do 3 weddings at a time and the rooms were very close together) because I went to a wedding there recently and the food was GREAT

I went to three weddings at swan club and the food was great! Thatched Cottage I haven't heard good things about their food from friends who went to weddings there.

I have been to a wedding at the swan club and the food was good, but nothing extrodinary. If your friend has a big wedding I wouldn't recommend it because the room is small and they cram all the tables together.

i got married at the swan club in 07... people are still talking about how good the food was

I'm def biased but we had our tasting at Thatched before we booked and the food was RIDICULOUS!! Amazing.

I have never been to the swan club, but I haven't heard anything bad.

Hi all,

Thanks again for all of the feedback. I've branched out into people at work. I thought it would be nice to share the overall comments I got from them.

1) No one had any bad things to say about the SC. A few coworkers said that the food was good, and they liked the laid back type atmosphere it had (?)
There was one response that I found funny. One lady said her nephew was married there and for the life of her she said she couldn't remember how the food was. But she said I think that's a good thing. I would have remembered if it was bad.

2) Only a few people had been to the TC. But they all said that the food was amazing. One man (yes, man) in particular said that he liked the SC's grounds better.

My friend is really going for the food wow factor. I hope they'll let us have food tastings at both before she decides which one to book. But she is leaning towards TC......
