I just thought i'd try to find the others who are having a SPECTACULAR wedding at the Thatched Cottage! I am so happy to be getting married there..the food is awsome and everything is beautiful!

Just thought i'd share in a gush with others...or maybe to share information or advice from ones with experience?

Here are two more pics...I have to tell you that getting married at the thatched cottage was awesome. it was a perfect day, there were flowers everywhere, the weeping willow tree was so romantic and mid ceremony, the ducks were quacking...i loved it. Also, for you girls who let your bm's choose their dresses...i have to say, my girls looked beautiful. they coordinated perfectly and wore dresses that were totally unique to them. i was nervous, but they all looked great. i want my pictures!!!

ETA: it won't let me post the pics. sorry. i tried to resize them, but who knows what.

YAY!!! you look so beautiful! The pictures are great too! I havn't seen any recent pics of the garden decorated so it's nice to see!

For our wedding, the whole gazebo is going to be covered in vines and autumn leaves and flowers...so it'll be neat to see the versitility

Are you ready? What do you have left to do?

I would have liked to have had my ceremony there, but I was too worried that October 30th would be too cold.

I'm looking at my contract and I didn't realize we were already assigned to a room.

I'm meeting with them on Friday to go over final arrangements, so I'm sure they can tell me then, but I'm not a patient girl!!

Hey Lauren ..

Funny but I don't know the name of the rooms at TC and I already got married there..
I will check my contract tonight to see which room I was assigned , and what name is what., and let you know

I can tell you that the room we had our reception in was the room located on your left hand side when you walk into the lobby.. (did that make sense?) Here is the pic of the room i'm talking about (from TC's website). I always thought it was called the main ballroom.. duh!

I loved that room best and pretty much insisted that would be the one.. however if your wedding is more then 150 or so, I think it will not accomodate a larger party (we had less than 100)

AKK..I have a bit to do actually...but we finalized the centerpieces with the florist on Saturday...and they are AMAZING!!! (Pics to come) THe cake is taken care of, and the DJ is getting his final music list on Wednesday next week.
Still have to finish the gifts and order the favors this week...we had a last minute change in plans...but it is working out well so far! big weeks to come!

OH..and my shower was YESTURDAY!!!

Had my 'final' meeting on Friday.

Got to taste all the yummy appetizers and three sample dinners - the prime rib, the chicken florentine and the salmon - all very good!!

Made linen choices and got our seating chart to do. My parents got to see it for the first time, so that was nice.

We are in the Rose room, which is the one upstairs that Felicia got married in. Our cocktail hour is downstairs so it can be inside or outside.

I got really excited this weekend - it's actually happening!!!

19 days left until my wedding!!!

We have so much still to do...this week is
Rehearsal dinner invitations, DJ finalizing and Seating arrangment week.

It's so close, yet there is so much to do until then!!!

Hello all!

I Have to get up to the cottage next week to examine the garden for how it will look at our outdoor ceremony.

Have any of you taken measurements of the aisle ...how long it is from the Gazebo to the end of the far footbridge?

Anything outside to be wary of?

If you already had your ceremony, did the generator from the restaurant next door disturb the wedding?

Please assist
