who just happens to be my sister!!! I seriously just cant take her, ive been going back and forth on this for a while, but have tried to keep her as moh because 1) shes my sister 2) my mom really wants her to be 3) i dont feel like dealing with family gossip
But seriously I just dont like her lol i lover her cuz shes my sister but more times that not were fighting (like bad, ive never had anyone call me things she does) and as of the past week were not speaking, we just seriously dont get along and she's so inconsiderate and disrespectful and has done absolutely ZERO for me since i got engaged, nore does she even ASK how everything is (best example ---- she thought i was getting married this Novemeber, ummm helllloooooooo)
my moms away i dont want to tell her until she comes back cuz then she'll get all stressed out, is anyone else not having their sister as MOH?
UPDATE: so i asked her if she even wanted to be my moh since i never really asked her, and this is the convo:
me: dont say i guess or whatever just yes or no sister: from the way your acting, not really me: ok, do you want to be a bm or do you not want to be in the bridal party at all? sister: count me out sis me: ok
Yes I am hurt, but it was honestly just not working. I didnt even respond to her 'by the way your acting' comment cuz that wouldve just started another brawl
i feel better and sad at the same time, strange feeling

i'd love to have her as a bm but only if she actually wants to, ill def keep a spot open for her but im not holding my breath this time

so sorry sweetie.. that really stinks that she is acting that way.. but i have to be honest.. Im the type of person that always said you dont have to have your sis/bro as maid of honor/best man if your really not that close just cause their related. I feel like you should have someone that your are super close to instead. im glad in the end it will work out for you.. but sorry it had to come to that with your sister. :(

At least she dropped out without you kicking her out indirectly. Better you took care of this problem now rather than closer to your wedding. And who knows, maybe she'll turn it all around and you can include her again.

well its come up before like 378432 times, so my mom knows the deal, shes just gonna be upset but i think she'll understand once i tell her whats been going on, its not like my sister gets a long with my mom either lol

I know this must have been so hard for you. My sister told me she didnt care about being my MOH or my wedding and I do not have the guts to demote her. I give you credit for being strong enough to do this

well im glad that the MOH question is clear

ITA, things are probably just tough right now, but come a few months down the line, things will probably turn around and you will probably want her in your bridal party. Sorry it turned out this way Joanna. I wouldn't count her completely out just yet. But I would definitely ask someone else to fill the MOH position. In the end, it was her choice and you can't be faulted.

You asked her, which was a really great thing to do. I'm sorry she responded so coldly to your kind gesture, but like all the other girls have said now you can have someone who WANTS to be your MOH in the spot.
Although, your mom will be upset, you can tell her that sis chose not to be in the BP...
