who just happens to be my sister!!! I seriously just cant take her, ive been going back and forth on this for a while, but have tried to keep her as moh because 1) shes my sister 2) my mom really wants her to be 3) i dont feel like dealing with family gossip
But seriously I just dont like her lol i lover her cuz shes my sister but more times that not were fighting (like bad, ive never had anyone call me things she does) and as of the past week were not speaking, we just seriously dont get along and she's so inconsiderate and disrespectful and has done absolutely ZERO for me since i got engaged, nore does she even ASK how everything is (best example ---- she thought i was getting married this Novemeber, ummm helllloooooooo)
my moms away i dont want to tell her until she comes back cuz then she'll get all stressed out, is anyone else not having their sister as MOH?
UPDATE: so i asked her if she even wanted to be my moh since i never really asked her, and this is the convo:
me: dont say i guess or whatever just yes or no sister: from the way your acting, not really me: ok, do you want to be a bm or do you not want to be in the bridal party at all? sister: count me out sis me: ok
Yes I am hurt, but it was honestly just not working. I didnt even respond to her 'by the way your acting' comment cuz that wouldve just started another brawl
i feel better and sad at the same time, strange feeling

My sister is my MOH and we get along pretty well and my mom knows she has to help her with a lot of things.
ON THE OTHER HAND... FH is not having his brother has his Best Man. They don't get along nor do they like each other. He's making him an usher for the sake of their parents, but if they didn't care, then it would have never happened. FH made the mistake of blurting out to his parents that he didn't want his brother to be a groomsman at all and his mom got so mad! So, I know how you feel thank to FH and I see no problem with demoting your sister, she might WANT to get demoted! Do you have someone else in mind for MOH?

I am... and shes my best friend in the entire world so I would have chosen her anyway! I dont know what I would do if I was in your situation! All i know is that you need to do what you feel is best for your situation!!! its unbelieveably unfair!

OMG. same situation - crazy. but my sis is 4 years older!!
honestly, especially since you didnt formally ask. i would just offically ask her to be a BRIDESMAID!!!! she might be relieved. and if she does ask about MOH title, just say that you are super close with ___ so you thought it would work out better.
surprisingly (or maybe not so surprisingly) my sis never asked why she was not MOH. actually, i was warning my mom for a long time (before i was engaged) that my sis would NOT be MOH....my mom is upset about it (just really for gossip reasons only, cuz she understands)...but the funny thing is when i told my mom i was asking my sis to be a BM she was SURPRISED. she was like why? are you sure?
...yeah...ill probably have to delete that last line in a few...no one else knows that part. hahahaha
Good luck girl! i think its better that you never formally asked her tho at least. GL! and who cares about gossip...its your BIG DAY and you need to be HAPPY with ppl by yourside that you can trust and count on! no drama ! no tears!!

If that is how she is acting and being so childish and immature, then you don't need her next to you on your biggest day....you were nice enough to extend an offer to be a BM and she refused, then you don't need her at all!!!!
I hope this makes you feel better and makes picking someone else who is going to stand by you and help you with everything much easier!!!

That's definitely sad, the way the conversation went. I'm sure you have some relief in knowing that you can now pick someone to be your MOH who will truely be thrilled to stand there for you.

you made the right decision by just asking her directly that way she made the decision to drop out and it wasnt you kicking her out....but im still sorry you had to deal with this and i think you should still consider her for you BP...alot can happen between now and NOV 2010 and I think it would mean alot to your mom
