I've used the Neutrogena foaming stuff but only on my legs.

Stay away from the self spray-ons. I used one for my daughter's engagement party and it was raining and it ran...everywhere. Gross! It also spread all over my bathtub except where I stood and it took weeks to scrub it off. My bathtub had a great waxy tan!

Oh no! I was going to try the spray-ons but I guess I'll stay away!

The foams are A LOT easier to control.

I have some towelettes from Bath and Body Works that I really like. I've also heard great things about a Clarins product from several people.

Au Courant foam is very good. Comes out brown, not orange!
Clarins I hear is the best, I've yet to try it.
Neutrogena is ok for the body, but I don't like it for the face-it seems to cause breakouts.

Please dont waste your money on the Clarins self tanner as I found it no bettr than any other ones.....maybe I am just a bad 'applier' but I got streaks from this the same as I did with neutrogena etc. My sister loves the St. Tropez but to be honest I dont think she ever looks tanned when she uses it. I think the only option is one of those spray booths or to embrace your inner nicole kidman

Fake Bake is really good stuff. I used it last year for my friend's wedding. And it doesn't make you look orange at all!

They sell it in Ulta, it's about 26.00
