The Cake Comparison...

So I never really looked at the picture verses what I got -- I just knew I absolutely LOVED my cake on my wedding day and was so so happy.

I thought y'all might like to see what I asked for and how PERFECT they made it. Anyone using the Milleridge bakery has NOTHING to worry about -- they were amazing (which of course will go in the review I will someday get done...)

Here's the picture from the magazine that I loved:

I asked them to make it but to use a very pale lavender between the layers instead of the white so it would match my colors, which were mint and lavender. I gave them a swatch of ribbon from my BMs dresses trim:

Gosh, i was so happy about it, I couldn't stop looking at it at the wedding, too!!

Ooooh good question!!! I *believe* it is in the basement freezer at my mom's house. At least I hope so! I'll be back in NY around October 2nd-4th, so I'll have to go to my mom's and find out. Yum!!!

Awww thanks for thinking of me!!!!

I actually went to 17 mets games this year before I moved down here last week. I'm coming back up at the end of the season and going to 2 more on 10/2 & 10/3.

I listened to today's game on MLB.com radio. Not the same, but they were away anyway. I appreciate your extra cheers (as do they... stinky stinky b-team...)

thats awesome!! you are making me kinda jealous because i will never get to see my cake!!
it was served at the wedding before ours! ugh and the bride knew it wasnt her cake and just didnt say anything till after the wedding!! i wish i knew who she was so i can at least see a picture of it!

WOW that's nuts!!! Did you at least think the cake you ended up having was pretty? I wonder if that bride wonders about her cake too.

Yup!!! Butter cream, vanilla cake, vanilla custard. OMG it was so good. I had 3 slices, plus what DH fed me. I didn't care... it was delicious and I love sugary frosting. We had the whole VH and still all I wanted to eat was more cake.

Wow, that really matched it to a T!!! That's really beautiful and even more awesome that it was delicious! Hope your Mom has the top tier so you can have it on your one year anniversary!!!
