This morning I put my 2 favorite CDs into the 6 disc changer in my car. About 1 minute into the first song off the favoritest of the favored CDs, the CD player starts making this whirring-grinding noise. whiiiiiiiiiir-grind-grind-whiiiiiiiiiiiiir-grind-grind So not cool. In a panic, I start ejecting CDs all wily-nily to rescue my precious babies. 4 CDs come out without a fight. One of the favored ones among them. The favoritest of the favored is still trapped in the CD player! Everytime I pressed 'eject' it would whiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiir-grind and then flash 'CD ERROR' like some digital fiend.
I have no idea what to do, or how to rescue my CDs. Can I dismantle the dashboard? Should I just punch a hold right through it?

Maybe I mean slot....it's not actually a door. But if the slot is open - it might work.
Don't get me started on the long list of repairs we've had to do...

I have noticed that sometimes the CDs were really hot when I'd eject them...
I like the Focus, but Ford overall doesn't impress me. Their brakes aren't great and the trannies clunk.
Oh no! We rented a Focus in Canada & I decided I want one now. Not a good idea? Not that I drive, but I would if I had a focus!
Liz, let it cool off & then if you need to try the stuffing technique, use Mr.Boots' cds!

I feel your pain, my car ate my CD's about a month ago. For some reason even though it only holds one cd, it sucked in a second one on top of the other cd. And it's not like I was trying to jam it in there, it just sucked it right in with no resistance. So I've had to listen to the radio for like a month, which *****. And no one can fix it, I'm going to have to suck it up and bring it to the dealer when ever I have the time.

I suspect the car is Republican, because we didn't have this problem until Mr Boots played the New System of the Down CD.
