the commack wedding center- not happy!!
Re: the commack wedding center- not happy!!
The service there definitely sucks. They do make up for it in price, but I went there recently and stood there feeling ignored for a very long time before anyone said a word to me. I did think they had more gowns then anywhere I had gone to though (Adrienne's, Macy's, Paradise Bridal, Angel Bridals...).

Who helped you??? Helene helped me, and she did bring dresses to me AND carry them around for me AND help me get dressed. I got excellent service from Helene. Can't say the same about anyone else there though!

I havn't heard positive things about the cwc. My fh's brother and another married couple that we are friends with used them. The tux's were dirty when they picked them up for the day of the wedding and the wedding dress for his brother's wife didn't fit her (to big) and she was already tiny. I know $$ is a factor with all of us, but you can research what you need to try and pay a similar amount elsewhere. Good Luck.

I went there yesterday too. I like David's Bridal better and I thought they were a tad unorganized. Prices are similar, but the dresses are clean and you get a bra and a slip to try on with wich I think gives you a better feel of what the dress is capable of. I too could not get the dresses on by myself at CWC... fortunately my mom was there with me. I didn't find anything I liked. Plus they don't have a selection in each size like David's. I'm a size 6 and all they had in halters was like 4 dresses and the closest to my size was an 8. They're big enough, it's hard to get a 12 over my head and the dress hung on me like a curtain! At least at David's the worst thing that happened is I tried on a 4... it was a bit tight, but I got a better picture than a 12! Isn't dress shopping fun?!?!? I'm planning on making a venture to Manhasset this week. Between Macy's and all the other stores there I'm hoping there should be something I like! There should be a Bridal shop Mall or something! Or at least like 'furnature row' on Rte 110 they're should be a bunch in one specific area so that you don't have to run all over the place. Plus, they'd all be competing for business - better pricing...

I would not be going back there. Run and take your money elsewhere. A place where they would appreciate it.
