The Coral House - review (Bat Mitzfah)

We went to a bat mitfah yesterday afternoon at the Coral House and thought some of you Coral House brides would appreciate a review.

The first thing I would make sure of is that there is someone directing the guests. There must have been at least four affairs going on yesterday and quite a few people went to the wrong room or couldn't find it.

Cocktail hour was in the back room which was very pretty and they had quite a spread set up (the shrimp was DELICIOUS!). The only problem was they started breaking down the tables and chairs before all the guests had even left the room - I mean we can take a hint but I hate when they do that!

The four hour function was in the room next door and honestly the food was very good. We had the chicken (which was not dry at all and the veggies were great) and my FILs said both the salmon and chateu briand was wonderful. The cesear salad was delish.

All in all it was very nice party but I would just make sure about your guests being directed to the right room!

Thanks.
My wedding is the only one on my night & I have the grand ballroom, so I am sure there will be no mistake

As for anything else, I am so well covered (due to my company) I have no fears I won't be treated than anything less than perfect.

Jen-

Yes there was an open bar and it was well stocked and they were quick to refill your drinks!

As for the cake, I'm not sure if it was from the Coral House. It had half chocolate and half cannoli filling but the cannoli filling was MUCH better!

Thanks so much for answering!!

Actually I want canoli filling in my cake...thanks for telling me (even though the cake might not be from there...I just want to make sure that cannoli filling is good!!)

Let me ask you something did they have bottles of wine on the tables or was it from tap? I was told they don't put bottles on tables.

112903 even though your brothers wedding was years ago...what is the one thing about the Coral House that sticks in your mind? Just wondering Thanks!!

Jen-

No, no wine on the table. We just kept going up to the bar to get drinks.

And I would bet the cake was from the Coral House. The cannoli filling was soooo good!!!

Good luck with your plans!

You can also ask for half filling of one one thing and half of the other. Well this is what we are doing for our eparty. I LOVE strawberry filling FH Loves chocolate. So we got both! We got a sheet cake.
We have open bar with our package. We HAD to have it.

Thanks for your review.

I am sure the directing of the guest will NOT be a problem. I already had this conversation with my BM in terms of directing of traffic.

As for wine on the table, not EVERY hall has wine on the table, and I have been to quite a few very nice places.

Wine on table is usually an add-on. And if you bring your own wine, they may charge a corkage fee.
