Today is our anniversary and I think he totally forgot. He didn't even get me a card and he was supposed to take off of work so we could celebrate and he forgot.. so now Im home alone all nigh. Its so not like him so I cant help but feel really dissapointed.
However, to make myself feel better I went to ACMoore and spent a sh*t load of money on wedding related DIY items

aw that's too bad. . maybe he will do something later to make up for it. .. I know it's not the samd but it's our anniv too and FH has had food poisoning and spent our whole anniversary in the bathroom

Awwwwwwww and what did he say??? Did he really sound sorry?? That really stinks! Maybe it just really slipped his mind ya know? I wish my FH still got me cards for our anniversary though... he used to do that at the beginning, but now that we are heading onto 5 yrs.... the cards have kinda gone out the window for us lol

awe poor guy!! I know he feels guilty but oh well. He wont be home until like 1am but its no biggie I will get over it. I was just dissapointed I guess

I'm sorry.
If it makes you feel any better my birthday is on Saturday. We're going out to dinner with about 10 of my friends. But usually FH takes me out alone sometime, too. He's made absolutely NO mention of when we're celebrating my bday. I'm pretty sure he's not going to do anything this year. Oh well. I guess my e-ring can take the place of a fancy dinner this year!

Maybe he is surprising you- keep that in mind. If not, make him feel guilty so he makes it up to you. In any event, Happy Anniversary. Guys are flaky sometimes but in the end, they usually make up for it.

listen to me....
do NOT think he forgot until the very end of the night... here's why....
for the last 5 years, my bf has made a 'new years' dvd of all the pictures of him and his friends through the year. they would watch it every new years eve, and he would make copies for everyone.
this year, he said he was too busy. i was bummed because i was actually gonna be in it cuz i only started dating him last january so i wasnt in the last one...
i was so so so upset because it was something iw as looking forward to ALL year (i had seen the previous ones)..
he even went as far as wrapping up a dvd case and putting an 'IOU' in the dvd case...so he had all of us thinking he really didnt make one. we were all upset because its something they look forward to also..
then, at like 12:02, he snuck out to the car, and brought in what?.... the dvd he made!
so, with that story, DO NOT COUNT HIM OUT UNTIL THE 11th HOUR! He could just be surprising you with something... that **** happens...im telling you!

Unfortunately, men do not think the same way as women do. Most of the time they're very good, but I know with FH, I have to ask for what I want him to do. He's a great guy, but he even tells me all the time 'I can't read your mind. If you need or want me to do something, you have to tell me. You can't get mad at me for something that I didn't know you wanted me to do.' So now, I let him know what I need from him and not in a subtle way, I come right out and say... 'I need you to do.... for me' He doesn't disappoint after that.
Is it pathetic that I have to do that? Yes, but in the long run, it saves my feelings from being hurt and saves a lot of silly fights!

This year fh and I both didn't remember our 7yr anniversary until four days after....I think it's because our anniversary is July 6 and our wedding will be July 10, we're doing a lot of wedding stuff and now that's all we think about....its sad, but it didn't bother us and we actually laughed it off....

Awww..I'm sorry. On the 23rd was our 5 year anniversary and he totally forgot too... He made it up the next day with this beautiful necklace...but stilllll LOL
