Re: the future in-laws
I absolutely LOVE my future in laws. our families have known each other for soooo long, way before Fh and i ever started dating!! My FFIL may just be the sweetest, most kind person in the world, and my FMIL is just the best! She is so wonderful, and we have an awesome relationship. (we have so many similarities its scary too lol, i.e. same birthday, 'flat heads' lol dont ask, we think of the same thing at the same time and say it lol). My future brother in law has a heart of gold and is just so great! FH is just as close with my family as well. It definitely helped that we all knew each other for years before we started going out, my brother and his cousin have been best friends for about 15 years! Sorry i went off on a tangent, but I realize just how lucky i am with this situation and i wanted to share!!

Re: the future in-laws
Mine are great, well except for one little thing. When they call here and I answer the phone they say 'is shawn there'. They dont even say hi to me! and to top it off as soon as he picks up the phone they say'oh, tell Renee I forgot to say hello' Whats up with that??? They 'forget' every single time to say hello, but always remember to say sorry to him for not saying hello to me... Maybe Im being over sensitive, but i think thats just plain rude. Last time his mom did it, I dsaid hold on, and then really loud I said 'Shawn, the phone is for you, its the people that forget to say hi to me' I got a good laugh out of it, and his mom heard me and appologized again.

I get along with them but we are just not the best of friends. I get along better with my FFIL then my FMIL.

Re: the future in-laws
My FH only has his Mom...sometimes she's ok, but more than not, I'm putting up with her...She's loud, jealous, and clings to my FH and always make him feel guilty for moving away when she's by herself...I told her to find a rich man and get over it...I have no horror stories yet, the plannig hasn't begun. But, our Mom's already had a cat fight over a Catholic wedding (I'm not), my mom said no Catholic wedding and if she insists, they're not paying...ugh!

I get along with them, although my FMIL can really get under my skin. My FFIL is awsome.
I feel we got along better before all the wedding planning started but we are still really close. I have felt like a member of their family for years already. I am very lucky.

It's not that we don't get along.... we just don't see eye to eye on things.... They aren't interested in our wedding at all! But we have my family, and they're great so...

Re: the future in-laws
i used to like them alot - then they hurt me and my family deeply and and added alot of unneccesary stress in our lives (incl. fh) and put a damper on the planning...but i try to move forward and to be excited about OUR wedding - we just keep on saying 'it's about' us - neither sides are talking to one another so it's been tough...alot of tears!
