ALicia, you just gave me an experiment for the weekend! I'm going to point out the UGLIEST things this weekend when I see him! Although I showed him the centerpieces we are getting and he was silent and said, 'Those are...nice.' What the HELL DOES THAT MEAN?

Re: the 'I Gotta Scream' thread

heheeeeee let me know your experiment goes!!!! I think maybe they just want what we want. My mom said my dad had no clue about their wedding..maybe its normal.

Re: the 'I Gotta Scream' thread

I'm the crazy one!!!

Everyone is driving me crazy except my FH. I b*tch to him so much about everyone else that he probably thinks I'm going crazy...

I have an idiot co-worker that I have to deal with that is really driving me bonkers, I know everything will get screwed up while I'm on my HM and I just don't care anymore....

I admit, I'm obsessed with LIFE, and I hate being a work these days!!!

Re: the 'I Gotta Scream' thread

Twentythree- I would immediatley take away ALL the pictures with you in the dress and destroy them or hide them away. I read your profile that you are getting married in 2004. Hopefully your FI has NORMAL MALE MEMORY, and dosen't noticed details!! By that time he won't really remenber excatly the details of the dress. And I'm sure seeing you LIVE is totally different than in a picture, just like the bridal dresses you see on the magazines. I would definalty NOT ask FSIL to be in the party till the very Last Minute possible!! Let her wonder for a while........ Hope this helps?

Re: the 'I Gotta Scream' thread

girls, can i just say that i think our FH must share dna, we have a broken remote as well as a hole covered by a picture of our smiling faces...how ironic is that. we have never fought so much as since we have been engaged. i think it just has a lot to do with the amount of stress we put on ourselves and the fact that now we are really faced with the fact that we are going to spend the rest of our lives toghether. it isn't just a hypothetical situation anymore. i think we will survive, i hope!

Egad, my FH is so NOt of the same DNA! Thank Bob!

I don't think I could tolerate such (no offense, childish) outbursts.

Re: the 'I Gotta Scream' thread

I think I can add here.

My mother is a HORROR SHOW. I am SOOO jealous of all the girls who have mothers to help plan their wedding, mothers who get excited over their daughters wedding, who fuss over every detail. Even on her best day, I have been furious at my mother and will never forget how cruel she has been to me over the past year since I got engaged. Whilt my mother has never been maternal to say the very least, I would have thought she would have been into the wedding at all of her first born child who is marrying the nicest guy in the world- the nearest thing she has ever had to a son. But no, she NEVER went with me to look at dresses, had my poor bridesmaids plan my shower, *****ed about how she had to do seating for her friends, and never came with me to one appointment. Other mothers are interested in how to bustle their daughters dress and help them on the wedding, but not my mother. She is sooo into herself, so selfish and egotistical- it kills me. The woman has no soul. To be 25 years old and planning with vendors who don't listen to someone so young, it is so painful.

My father and his wife have been so much nicer (obviously) to her 25 year old twin girls and their fiancee's, even though one is obviously gay and in the closet. (Ladies- This kid is FLAMING) and the other fiance's father was in jail and he curses 'F- U!' at the top of his lungs to his fiance often. The two are on the rocks at best. My father has never even toasted our engagement or said congratulations.

You are right- That felt good!!!
