the invites arent even out and theres drama...

Ugh....so FH logs onto his myspace tonight and there is a message from his aunt...she asked him why he didnt send out the invites yet and that her, jada ( his cousin...her BF and their baby) will all be in ....get this...Rhode Island....July 25th so they can come to the wedding...

so 1. we dont live on Rhode Island. 2. Jada is not invited...nor her boyfriend....NOR their newborn baby!!

So, FH writes back, we havnt sent out the invites yet, its hard to get everything done when we are living in FL. That they will go out when we get the chance...

her response...

Well dont you think that you should...i mean, its comming up really soon and you should get them in the mail.

This is why i wanted to have this long talk with FMIL and she flipped out that we werent inviting kids and blah blah.and she freaked out on me....my mom is paying for the whole wedding and she isnt putting in a DIME!!!

sorry you have to deal with the in laws! Honestly, if ur mom is the only one helping out then its ok to NOT invite everyone and their mother! I just sent my invites out and my wedding is end of may. You have plenty of time!

I agree with this. I feel like people are so worried to offend people, but I don't think the guests are thinking about your feelings when they say things to you? I am really hoping I don't get people inviting other members of their family who aren't invited, but I plan to call them directly on my side or have someone do it and tell them as polit]ely as possible how it is. That ***** though! Seems like a lot of people have to deal with family who just does what they want...

aww i'm sorry you're going through this. It's ridiculous how people feel they have the right to tell you HOW to do things, that is one thing that is completely driving me up a wall!!!! Don't stress over it, just be firm and FMIL will have to get over it!

Shes not going to come and kill you for not getting the invites out. Stop communicating with these people!!!!!! Sitdowns wont work - they are stubborn - and YOU need to be stubborn.

Send them out when its convienent for you. Your wedding is around my bday - so i was thinking you would send them maybe mid may for a june 26 rsvp or something - they are all off their rockers.

And keep to ur guns Mr and Mrs aunts name and thats it - and when she bitchess oh well.... but dont open her emails and leave all them to bitchh about the situation and stress themselves out

Awwww... Don't forget that it IS YOUR WEDDING!!!
My FMIL and MOM both flipped when I told them that we weren't going to have kids at the wedding. Not for nothing, but I am not a millionaire and there are tooo many kids between both families - it would be an extra couple thousand!!! Just say that you can't, you won't and that's the end of that! Be the Bridezilla that's deep down inside!!! I hope things get better for you!!
