the knot is...

i was on the knot.com just browsing reception ideas...while the pictures are all stunning and gorgeous, theyre a little UNREALISTIC to me, does anyone feel that way?
not helpful ideas for the common bride.. .
i mean most of us will have a nice, classy wedding within whatever budget we have...but some of the stuff on theknot is like for brides that seem like they have no budget ? i wouldnt be surprised if they color coordinated the reception halls bathroom toilet paper with their wedding colors ...anyone feel that way...


i feel like everytime i read the description of the picture the setting is either :
a villa
a mansion
huge grand backyard
by the pool
hawaii

lol...is it just me??

Yea!! I have to agree I couldnt afford those kind of weddings even if i saved for the next 5 yrs .I dont know why they dont have more simple ideas

I am lucky I can afford my own wedding!! and we are barely doing it by the skin of our teeth!!!

like i said on BHB they will have all these pics up on the site and ideas for brides but the people who actually post on the boards DO NOT have big budgets at all...Infact most of them are pretty small. I posted my budget once and they made a big deal about it, and i had to explain that I am from NYC so things are more expensive. Also, most of the brides who post on there things its stupid when a bride goes ALL OUT and will put them down. Most of the people on the knot do not even go above $50,000 or to be honest even get that close to it
